Trying something new today

I've been writing in a journal since third grade. Lately I have been following The Simple Woman's Daybook, only writing it in my paper journal. Today I thought I would try actually blogging it and linking up with others who do the same.

For Today: Tuesday, October 6, 2015

Outside my window: at 7:40 am, it is 56 degrees F and mostly cloudy and 97% humidity. Today's high will be around 76 degrees F. The wood pile is growing as we continue to cut fire wood.

In the kitchen: I am planning on trying a new dinner roll recipe today to go with the chicken and rice I will put in the crock pot around 11:00am.

In the craft room: I finished the "A" snowman yesterday. I am thinking about either making them into gift tags that they can then hang on the tree or putting them inside snow globes. Haven't decided yet. Today I will work on my HAED cross stitch.

I need to: Remind R to get stamps on the way home.

I am looking forward to: lighting a fire in the fireplace.

I am following: The House and Holiday Plan and The Halloween Countdown. This week is wardrobe week. I am cleaning out closets, sorting unused/unloved items, storing summer things and bringing in the winter stuff. Planning holiday outfits and what to wear in our Yule card photo. Continuing to work on my gift list and cards. It's time to start catalog and online orders! For the Halloween Countdown it is food week. We are not having a party (we do a private celebration), but still plan our menu and do a few gift baskets for friends and neighbors.

I am listening to: our boxer snore.

Today's Quote: "The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be the beginning." Ivy Baker Priest

Today's Flight Plan:
1. Cross Stitch
2. Clean laundry room and sweep porches
3. Order a friend's birthday gift
4. Remind R to get stamps
5. Work on Yule cards

Thanks for reading. I don't think I will post my entry everyday, but who knows? Remember to go to The Simple Woman's page and read what others are up to.
