Say it isn't so!

Just one day away from our January Stitchy Start post and I'm having second thoughts! I'm just not happy with the way my stitches are looking. I'm doing 2 over 1 on 18ct Aida. The stitches look bulky and not smooth. Today I have stitched 200 stitches in a half stitch. I know many people consider this "cheating" but it is looking so much better. I'm considering FROGGING the 3000 stitches I've already done!!!

  1. Oh dear. :-/
Mine is 2 over 1 on 25-count and I agree that it's a little bulky but you can't beat the coverage! Lol. Check my last post if you want to see the most recent progress. Almost to 6,000 stitches. Keep your head up. :-) It'll turn out beautiful regardless of what you decide.

    1. I just went back and looked at yours again (beautiful btw). I zoomed in on the picture to look up close LOL. I then took a picture of mine and zoomed in on it. They look very similar with the exception of one ofy squares. Maybe it's just that section I'm unhappy with? I'm still playing with it. But maybe all I need to do is fix that one square! I can easily go back and cross the half stitches LOL.

    2. Very true. I did the same thing with your piece. Zoomed in really really close. I, personally, love how it looks. You've done a fabulous job. The colors are blending fantastically. I've realized in my stitching that waiting until you can see more of it done is helpful. It just takes a REALLY long time to see the bigger picture (literally) with a HAED.
